TURKEY + MIAMI

Been looking through some of me Dad's slides from his travels, his stuff definitely needs publishing one day... I doubt he meant to get some of the shots he got, but there are some bangers among the standard tourist snaps...

COUPLE OF KONTAKTS

Bit sketchy, last minute printing. You get the jist though....

HAITI

Had the first of (surely) many slide shows from Nick Archer today, colours in Haiti are insane....dead good. Check the possessed woman munching on a dove's head...

LITMUS TEST+PHOTIE MAN

Picked up a couple of new books while I was down south, got a back stage look into Photographers Gallery boom store to get a copy of Templeton's new(ish) book "Litmus Test" - photographs from a week long skate tour in Russia. Strange working environment at Photog gallery, 4 macs crammed in between stacks of books...thanks to Martin for sorting us out though.
Best find of the day had got to be Tom Woods "Photie Man", 15 quid brand new from a little dusty old womans book shop. Amazing.

4QUID BUN

I bought a bun for 4 pounds because it had a little chocolate mans torso on top of it...not money well spent.

LARRY CLARKE

Popped down to London last minute to see some friendly faces and check out some shows.
Street Photography Exhib at Barbican was pretty weak, I suppose it's just catering for the tourists showing vintage b+w prints from British photographers up to 2010. 1 wall of colour stuff which we've all seen a million times, still mint though.

Larry Clarke show at Simon Lee gallery was a beast, apart from the arrogant girl on reception with her "important" job. I nearly had an orgasm when I saw "the perfect childhood" laid out...it was too good to be true though. Not for Sale. Some good stuff on display though....

PARENTPORTRAITS

Nick Archer, dentists dream.

GRIFF LE RIFF

Definitely one of the best images in the mobformat show, this flickr head had a few but this one is the pick of the bunch...

Depardon, Parke and Manos - 3 all time greats of the Magnum collective in my eyes. Manos' colour especially....
